Favourites images of 2017 – Behind the lens – World Time Attack

For the next image in my top 10 favorite images of 2017, we head to Sydney in October for the press launch of World Time Attack Challenge 2017.
This year I was asked to work with the team from World Time Attack Challenge on both the Photography and Social Media areas in the lead up to the event.
My favorite shot came from the Media Event, a few days before the action began, held on Sydney Harbour in front of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Three key vehicles from the event were on display, New Zealand’s Mad Mike Whidett’s Mazda RX8, The ex Le-Mans Mazda 767B race Car and Scotlands Andy Forrest’s Subaru WRX.
The World Time Attack Team arrived early to set the cars into position.
After all the formalities were completed and the light was in the best position I arranged to get the above image.
It was shot on my Nikon D810 with the Nikon AFS 24-70mm lens with a Circular polarising filter attached. Exposure was 1/200 at F20 ISo 500. The circular polariser really helped to punch up the color.
If you are just coming into my top 10, then check out the first post here
I will return tomorrow with the next image in the series.
